Joe: Some omens..

Yesterday night at bar I had an omen. It wasn't like Jesus himself would have stepped down from his throne and dropped on our bar, but almost as good. In ancient times omens were red from intestines of sacrificial animals, tarot -cards and tea leaves. But since those days are gone, modern day people have their own ways to interpret the nature.

And documenting them is so much easier, because we all have cameras in our cellphones, an advantage the ancient druids lacked. So here is my omen:

Fortunately my state funded education helped me to interpret this omen right. If it would have formed to tea leaves it would have been nad, but since the element of beer is drunken haze, it clearly represents hazardous adventure for someone.

This omen turned into reality faster than usual. Later on same evening we found one more monkey to ride with us to Gibraltar. Blue Monkeys identity will be revealed in any day now.

This means that we now have 4 full members and one prospect, who'll have to prove himself in the coming weeks. In addition we also have Mike Eastback, who has promised to drive our support vehicle in case we find one.

Less than two months to go before the start!

Bob: First sponsors are up!

We've now uploaded the first sponsor logos to Death Monkey 2006 rally. Yle X provides media coverage, rubbers and other kinds of support, and Nemein helps us with the IT infrastructure of the project.

First Death Monkey sponsors

We're still looking for sponsors to help with getting the Honda Monkeys, and possibly some organization to provide positioning tools for the rally.

In addition to regular sponsors, you can help by spreading the word, and especially by Digging us or bookmarking us. The rally will be interesting to all of us, and we hope to make it an experience also to spectators.
